This academic poster outlines research conducted on the incidence and severity of cassava virus diseases in Malawi. The research study involved surveying 68 cassava fields in three regions of Malawi between 2009 and 2010. The results showed that cassava mosaic disease and cassava brown streak disease were the most prevalent diseases and that incidence and severity varied geographically across the country.
The poster was produced by I.R.M. Benesi, M.P.K.J. Theu, E.D.L. Mazuma, F.D. Tairo and J. Ndunguru and was presented at the Second Scientific Conference of the Global Cassava Partnership for the 21st Century in Kampala, Uganda.
