Genotypic differences in the growth of bananas infected with migratory endoparasitic nematodes: roots

This study investigated the effects of nematodes on root morphology and the association of root characteristics with resistance to nematodes of seven banana varieties. Results showed that resistance to nematodes was associated with plant varieties with greater root mass and more that are more abundant as well as having larger primary roots.
