Banana production in Tanzania is largely constrained by pests and diseases, mainly plant parasitic nematodes and, in particular, burrowing and root lesion nematodes. This poster provides a snapshot of a study conducted to assess the genetic diversity of 159 banana varieties and their association to plant parasitic nematodes.
